In this role, I am able to take the skills learned in my journalism career and relay them to students in multiple ways. The most important role for me as a teacher is getting students to understand the amount of work it takes to succeed in journalism.Each week, I make lesson plans for 5 classes that includes foundational journalism lessons. Historical lessons and hands on activities are also included. I am also the instructor for Oral Communication.There is a curriculum but this role gives me creative freedom on how to direct my students.*I am also the school facilitator for the yearbook and student newspaper.
