ABOUT KYRA KOVACH
Born and raised in Calgary, Alberta, I hold a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science with a concentration in Chemistry from the University of Calgary. My academic background emphasized chemicals of concern, air quality, and the intersection of human health and the built environment. With seven years of experience in corporate sustainability, through both in-house and advisory roles, I have developed a strong foundation in GHG emissions accounting (Scopes 1-3), ESG strategy development, sustainability reporting, and responding to investor and client ESG requests. My work has focused on navigating certification systems, regulatory and voluntary disclosure alignment and integrating ESG principles into operations and project design. I’m passionate about helping organizations, particularly those in resource-intensive industries, meet rising expectations for environmental stewardship and transparent sustainability performance.
