ABOUT KYRA BOLLMEYER

Deep tech lover meets user-centricity: UX matters, whether you want it to or not. 🦄Throughout my career, I have worked with and for innovation incubators at Serviceplan, One Data, BioNTech and Fitness First to help visualize new technologies. I have deep roots in UX development for complex data platforms and code editors.My design process begins with discovery and data, forming the foundation for thorough requirements gathering and definition. I keep the problem at the center, resisting the urge to settle on the first solution. Through iterative design and prototyping, I bring interaction flows to life, allowing us to address key questions early in the process. Working in deep tech demands speed—products need to reach the market before competitors catch up or resources run thin. I love to think fast, test, build, integrate and rethink.I approach every design opportunity with a systems perspective, and I prioritize building strong relationships with engineering, PM, QA, and all other partners in the development cycle. My motto is “Together, not alone.” I aim for clarity and brevity in my documentation, ensuring that the UX direction is accessible, straightforward, and actionable for everyone involved.I do my best work in small, highly collaborative teams where ideas flow freely. I truly value the insights that come from working closely with user researchers, QA, product managers, copywriters, creative directors, and fellow UX designers.My portfolio includes:• Mobile app development• International product development• Design systems and library establishment• Rework of complex Navigation and Information architecture• Complex web plattforms• Code Editors and Data VisualisationsI work with tools such as Figma, Sketch, Miro, Confluence and Jira on a daily basis. I am currently expanding my knowledge in user research and the evaluation of usability tests using methods such as ISO, SUS and PSSUQ. My IT skills and the ability to present technical complexity in a way that users can understand are my strengths.As the leader of a 7-person UX team, I’ve honed my leadership skills and am eager to further develop in areas like leadership and user research. My goal is to work in a large tech company with a complex technical environment, where I can simplify these challenges through user-centered design.
