   Led design intents as part of a cross functional team from inception to manufacturing for cab interiors/exteriors which included function, consistency and human centered design. Researched and developed strategies and solutions in design, materials, and processes to reduce the cost of products. • Partnered with multi-disciplinary teams to design rollover protection structure (ROPS), HVAC covers, roof panel, front dash, control pod and handles, post covers, and side and rear covers with storage pockets. Studied visibility and reachability of environment, controls, comfort, and safety.• Performed and utilized 2D sketches of interior and exterior parts to identify problems and design solutions that aligned with brand identity while maintaining consistency across the product lines.• Created A-side surface models in 3D and rapid prototypes for testing. Used Creo to create master models that drive part designs.• Collaborated with engineers to study the user experience, ergonomics, and human factor to deliver optimum design and placement for interior components, exterior door panels and assemblies, and machine parts such as oil filter systems and the control handle.• Interfaced with UX/UI team to provide input on mapping and touch points to improve user experience with controls and environment for the machine operators.• One of three employees in the corporation with permission to work on Trade Dress design for all Caterpillar products. − Streamlined Trade Dress by creating four diamond milled aluminum badges that fit all Caterpillar engines which reduced cost and eliminated a different decal for every engine.• Collaborated on a daily basis with engineer managers, lead engineers, electrical engineers, structure engineers, design engineers, HVAC engineers, marketing, operator specialists internal and external support staff to define needs, resolve problems, and manage a budget for design projects.• Highly-skilled in developing non-metallic and metal designs.
