Kyoko tailors her approach to effectively meet the distinct needs of each individual or family utilizing an electric therapeutic style.Growing up in both Japan and the U.S. shaped Kyoko into a person with a unique perspective on the world. She learned the importance of humility, while also recognizing the need to speak up when it matters. With a traditional heritage—her name, “Child of Kyo,” honors the city of Kyoto—and an international background, she embodies curiosity and a strong desire to help. Kyoko is committed to her clients by creating one origami crane for every hour she spends with them, actively participating in the Senbazuru tradition, which symbolizes peace and healing. Each crane represents her heartfelt wishes and determination to support others in their healing journeys, as she confidently advances toward her own licensure.Before pursuing her training in counseling, Kyoko worked as an engineer and had a long career as a business consultant in the finance sector. However, her lifelong passion has always been to become a therapist. Her desire to further her education and transition into a career in therapy intensified when she began volunteering as a Court-Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for teens. The insights and experiences she gained from working with these young individuals are something she cherishes to this day as she continues her volunteer efforts. Additionally, Kyoko is bilingual in Japanese and English.
