Connecting service members and military spouses with resources for successful transitions during their military career and when transitioning out, including employment assistance, education opportunities, VA claims and other VA benefits, financial tools and resources, and connecting with mentors.• Briefing pre-separation classes and TAP classes about USO Transitions; representing USO Transitions at military-friendly job fairs, SkillBridge expos, networking events, and other outreach events directed toward the military community.• Utilizing Salesforce and RingDNA for client case management, communications, and scheduling; meeting with clients via various virtual methods, including Microsoft Teams, FaceTime, and Skype. • Successfully connected over clients to base and community resources.• Assisting with training of current and new transition specialists and continually updating and expanding resources.• Continually updating skills via in-person Briefer Training and Leadership Development Training and with virtual classes in Career Coaching, Communications, Resilience, and Time Management. • Expanded USO Transitions services to more Hampton Roads areas – Langley, Ft. Eustis, Yorktown Naval Weapons Station, and Ft. Gregg-Adams (formerly Ft. Lee) – by cultivating and maintaining relationships with base and community partners, such as Army Community Services, Airman & Family Readiness, Army SFL-TAP, Fleet & Family Support Centers Yorktown, Virginia Department of Veterans Services, Virginia Employment Commission, and the Hampton Roads Veteran Employment Center.
