ABOUT KYLIE REED JEFFREY
I\'m a PhD nutrition scientist and dietitian in training combining clinical expertise in eating disorders and behavioral health with translational research and data science to build tools that improve how people engage with their health.As project lead for Everyone EATS at Duke\'s David Lab, I designed and launched a global citizen-science platform that uses dietary DNA metabarcoding to reconstruct food intake and deliver personalized nutrition insights at scale. In my postdoctoral research, I build predictive models linking gut microbiome and dietary composition to recovery outcomes in anorexia nervosa, identifying which patients are most at risk and translating those patterns into actionable clinical strategies.What drives my work is the gap between what we know about nutrition and behavior and what actually reaches people. I\'m especially interested in how precision health platforms can close that gap—using translational research, behavioral science, and evidence-based content to personalize health interventions at the individual level.Areas of focus: personalized nutrition, eating disorders, GLP-1/weight management, gut microbiome, behavioral health data science, digital health product development, health content strategy.Currently completing my dietetic internship (RD credential expected 2026) while continuing postdoctoral research at Duke University and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, supported by an NIH/NIDDK training grant.
