About Kylie Leyda
Recently started a new role as a full-stack software engineer at Surgical Safety Technologies in New York City. I graduated from Elon University in May 2025 with a triple major in Computer Science, Statistics, and Public Health and a minor in Data Analytics. After completing a Software Engineering internship on the Artificial Intelligence Team at Insight Enterprises, I spent my final year deepening my technical skills through research, teaching assistantships, and leadership as the first Data Nexus Technology Ambassador at Elon. As CTO of my tech startup OneTap, I have led the development of our custom AI/ML algorithm, mobile app, Chrome extension, and website, and I’ve pitched the company alongside our CEO at several competitions - most recently winning first place at the Elon Innovation Challenge. I am passionate about Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and software development, with hands-on experience in Python, Java, C++, SQL, R, SAS, HTML/CSS, and more. As a member of Elon\'s Programming Team and a recent second-place finisher at a regional hackathon, I enjoy combining technical creativity with real-world problem solving.
