Just like many in the recruiting industry, I never imagined this would be how I’d make my living—but here we are.I graduated in 2014 with a BS in Biology/Pre-Medicine from The Ohio State University, initially aspiring to become a doctor. After starting the medical school application process and taking the MCAT, I realized my passion for medicine wasn’t there anymore. What truly drew me to the field was my interest in people and problem-solving.With no clear direction, I stumbled upon Vaco, a local recruiting firm that was hiring. Though I originally applied for a role with one of their clients, they asked if I’d ever considered sales and recruiting. I hadn’t—but I decided to listen, and years later, I’m grateful I did.Now, I’m fortunate to work in talent acquisition, helping job seekers navigate their careers, especially when they’re dissatisfied or suddenly facing unemployment. I collaborate with recruitment teams and hiring managers to creatively tackle the ever-changing, competitive talent market. Each day, I get to work with people, solving problems, and helping them find new opportunities.Currently, I’m a Corporate Recruiter at NetJets, where I support recruitment across a wide range of corporate functions, with a focus on accounting, finance, and other key business areas.
