About Kyle Phillips-Thomas

I’ve had the privilege to explore culture and build local businesses across the Americas. In the beginning, as part of a small team, I established the most influential youth tourism company in Buenos Aires. After becoming fluent in the Porteño dialect I oversaw and subcontracted the build-out, menu, and marketing of an Argentine fast-casual chicken wing restaurant with delivery service. Today, I continue to value business projects that are diverse and inclusive. I was born in Trinidad, but was culturally raised in the South where I broke swimming records attending high-school in Atlanta, GA. At age 18 I became an “illegal” immigrant, risking deportation from my only home, and worked as a day laborer and fitness instructor. My access to the world unlocked at the age of 22 when my residence in the U.S. was recognized. I was then able to attend the University of Georgia studying Criminal Justice. For a year, I reconnected with Trinidad living simple in a house between Caribbean mango trees. I’ve been able enjoy travel around the globe from Hong Kong, Brazil, Panama, Barbados, Paraguay, Puerto Rico, and more to come.
