Individual Tax Prep - On the individual side, I have extensive experience with ministers and members of religious orders, including minister\'s with a pastoral housing allowance. I also have extensive experience with adoption tax credit, complex rental income situations, and tax of resident and non-resident alien individuals. Non-Profit Tax Prep & Compliance - I assist many non-profits, primarily public charities, in preparing their annual Form 990 as well as providing compliance consulting around the pitfalls that face non-profits because of their tax exempt status. I discuss in depth the ways to achieve and maintain public charity status, officer & director compensation, personal/deputized fundraising, foreign activities, related party transactions, and issues surrounding lobbying and campaign influencing activities. Business Entity Formation - I can setup and form business entities in any state within the including LLCs, Partnerships, S-Corps, C-Corps, and non-profit corporations. I also handle from formation to approval the Application for Tax Exemption for non-profit organizations and consult with these organizations on what policies and best practices to use for their organization to establish good governance and compliance with IRS regulations over non-profits. Complex Tax Resolution - In addition to tax prep, I also help businesses and individuals with complex tax problems. Primarily, this is revolved around balances due and applying for tax reduction through the Offer in Compromise program, setting up and maintaining installment agreement, and the resolution of tax examinations and correspondence audits.
