Dr. Sousa currently serves as Dean for the School of Pharmacy at Loma Linda University. He previously served as Interim Dean and Associate Dean of Academic Affairs.His teaching areas focus on biochemistry, pharmacogenomics, and professional development. He also brings over a decade of research experience in nuclear receptor biology, drug discovery, metabolic disease, and bariatric surgery, has published over 25 research articles, and is the co-inventor of 5 patents.He is as active member of the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP) and has served on both the Student Affairs Committee and Academic Affairs Committee.
