Kyle Jorel Frett, a native of Tortola, British Virgin Islands, is a fourth-year Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Candidate at Tuskegee University College of Veterinary Medicine. At Tuskegee University, Kyle actively serves as National Student AVMA President - Elect, Class Vice President for the Class of 2026, Senior Delegate and Vice President of the Student Chapter of the American Veterinary Medical Association (SAVMA), Chairman of the Educational & Professional Development Committee within National SAVMA, Vice President of TUCVM\'s Student Association of Veterinary Surgeons (SAVS), Treasurer (formerly) & Vice President of the American Association of Equine Practitioners (AAEP) and holds active memberships within SAVMA, AAEP, The Student Chapter of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ACVIM), and the Alabama Veterinary Medical Association (ALVMA). A very active and dedicated leader on campus, Kyle strives to be an agent of change and advocacy, working towards the mantra,\"Students Working for Students\".Upon graduating from Tuskegee University College of Veterinary Medicine, Kyle plans on pursing internships and residencies in hopes of obtaining Board-Certification in Surgery (ACVS) and Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation (ACVSMR), as he greatly aspires to become a successful equine surgeon, with a main focus in general/soft tissue, orthopedic, and neurosurgery surgery for all types of equids. He also has subsidiary interests in large animal internal medicine, radiology, and emergency and critical care. As an active member of TUCVM\'s Student AVMA chapter, he plans to advocate for his fellow peers/colleagues and to represent them on the national and international level. Kyle also plans to seek international office within the AVMA, with aspirations to make innovative and groundbreaking changes in the field of veterinary medicine, relatively to minority representation and equal opportunities, surgical, technological, and pharmacological advancements and mental health awareness.
