About Kyle van Cleave

I am a graphic designer and illustrator with over a decade of experience working with brands across a wide range of industries. I run a design agency (along with my wife) called Deadbolt Design Lab. My professional focus has always been on logo design and illustration and projects that balance structure with personality. I don’t buy into the cookie-cutter design philosophy; I believe good design should be imaginative, a little unexpected, and even fun.Outside of my work experience as a freelancer and a dedicated independent design studio I spent time working as a brand manager and designer for an innovative, and market disruptive, wine brand Copa Di Vino. My work with Copa Di Vino spanned from basic sales design to overseeing a complete rebranding and market reintroduction. As brand manager I acted as a creative director of sorts and led the marketing department\'s initiatives.
