Signing with Warner Brothers Records out of high school, he began recording for his debut album. While recording around the country, McMahon received word of his Dad\'s deployment to Afghanistan, so put his music to the side to return home to his family.McMahon began appearing on the first of his 4 episodes of the Emmy Award winning Oprah\'s Lifeclass on OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network, speaking out about his biological father\'s abandonment before he was born and throughout growing up. The response was overwhelming and he quickly became the \"face of fatherless sons\"​. McMahon released a one-off single, A Letter 2 My Younger Self (Fatherless Sons) as a free download, in conjunction with the Oprah shows. The music video received over hits in the first month.McMahon has been making a series of speeches on fatherless-ness in America.
