ABOUT KYLE BASILIUS

Kyle is an American licensed Architect, a Board-Certified Healthcare Architect, Principal, and Shareholder at Parkin. He has worked closely with clinicians and clients for nearly 20 years, planning, master planning, and programming healthcare construction projects in the United States, Denmark, and Canada. Kyle is actively involved in the healthcare design community. He serves on the Canadian Standards Association (CSA) Ambulatory Care / Procedures working group and holds the position of Chair on the American College of Healthcare Architects (ACHA) Continuing Competence Committee. Additionally, he serves as the International Federation of Healthcare Engineering’s (IFHE) Technical Lead Architect for the World Health Organization\'s (WHO) and World Food Programme (WFP) led INITIATE² Infectious Disease Treatment Module (IDTM) project. In 2022, Kyle presented at the Healthcare Design Conference in San Antonio, discussing the Red Fish Healing Centre for Mental Health and Addictions in Coquitlam, British Columbia. In 2017, he spoke at both the European Healthcare Design Conference in London and the 2016 Healthcare Design Conference in Houston, focusing on the New Hospital Bispebjerg project in Copenhagen, Denmark. In 2011, Kyle was honored with the Herman Miller (now MillerKnoll) Scholarship from the American Institute of Architects (AIA) Academy of Architecture for Health (AAH), which recognizes emerging talent in healthcare architecture. Kyle is a member of The American Institute of Architects (AIA), a Board-Certified Healthcare Architect with the American College of Healthcare Architects (ACHA), holds a certificate from the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB), and is an Evidence-Based Design Accredited and Certified professional (EDAC). Additionally, Kyle is a licensed Architect in the state of Ohio.
