Kyle is a tax partner in Deloitte\'s Chicago office and leads Deloitte’s National Healthcare & Life Sciences M&A Transaction Services tax practice. He has more than 29 years of experience with Deloitte and more than 24 years as a dedicated M&A tax specialist. His clients include private equity funds, middle market companies, and large multi-nationals. Kyle advises his clients on the tax due diligence and tax structuring of U.S. and cross-border acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, and internal reorganizations. He has worked on several transactions dealing with the acquisition and structuring of S corporations, and has significant experience advising shareholders of closely held businesses on the tax issues related to the sale of their companies. Kyle advises his clients on the tax aspects of the formation and operation of private equity funds, and the tax consequences to typical private equity investors, including tax-exempt and foreign investors.Kyle has significant experience in the healthcare & life sciences industry and has worked on several transactions in the areas of medical devices/supplies, durable medical equipment, pharmaceuticals, infusion therapy, pharmacy benefit management, clinical research organizations, long-term care, home health, physician practices, medical management service organizations, and hospital/health systems. His experience in this industry includes due diligence and structuring the acquisition of both taxable and tax-exempt healthcare target companies, and is a subject matter resource for the tax structuring of corporate practice of medicine physician practice acquisitions. Kyle has presented at various industry and technical seminars sponsored by Deloitte and external organizations, and has contributed to Deloitte sponsored healthcare publications.
