I began my career in Ship Support, contributing across the full lifecycle of naval platforms, with a focus on through-life engineering to maintain long-term system performance and reliability. This experience gave me a strong foundation in practical engineering support, stakeholder collaboration, and problem-solving within complex defence environments.I am now specialising as a C&I Engineer within Stage 1 Engineering, supporting the Integrated Platform Management System (IPMS). In this role, I am developing technical expertise in control systems and instrumentation, working on early-stage system design, integration, and validation.•Delivered engineering support across the ship support lifecycle, ensuring maintainability and availability of critical systems.•Supporting control system design and integration, with emphasis on instrumentation, automation, and system reliability.•Using CAD and PLM tools to generate, manage, and review technical data, supporting accurate design and configuration control.•Contributing to through-life engineering activities, applying lessons from ship support to improve long-term system effectiveness.•Collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver safe, compliant, and sustainable solutions.
