Manage a 12-engineer multidisciplinary team responsible for creating technical completion designs, well spacing/placement plans, type curves, and science programs, and booking reserves for a four-rig Midland Basin drilling program.• Led first sub-Atoka cube developments in the Midland Basin, including full-section Barnett development and robust science diagnostics.• Reserves coordinator for the Midland Basin Business Unit: – Lead the team through annual booking process, ensuring compliance with SEC rules and PRMS guidelines. – Help engineers prepare for annual reserves review presentations to corporate reserves team and external consultants. – Oversaw a software transition to ARIES for PDP bookings.• Deep expertise in applying machine learning to predict well performance: – Worked with a central engineering technical team to develop a machine learning model for the Midland Basin with a R^2 for predicted versus actual production of greater than 0.8. – Led team to implement model in development decision-making processes, such as optimizing completion designs and child well placement.• Coded a >800-line algorithm in Python to calculate multidimensional well spacing variables used in machine learning models and analytics for development optimization.• Collaborate with subsurface characterization, reservoir simulation, and central fracture stimulation design technical teams to perform multi-well simulation modeling studies and leverage them to optimize DSU well count and placement. • Responsible for reviewing type curves and completion plans for Midland Basin appraisal projects.• Help mentor JV partner\'s engineers on secondment assignments in Houston and disseminate reservoir and completions engineering best practices.• Collaborate with JV partner on technical plans.• Presented technical justification and production forecasts for a field development plan and basin-wide reserves bookings to the CEO and senior executives.
