ABOUT KYLE R. MACDONALD

I am a mission-driven nonprofit executive and physician with a national track record of leading national public health and education initiatives that use the latest science and data, elevate community voice with partners, and drive sustainable systems change.​I\'ve built my career on the belief that science is strongest when it is inclusive, collaborative, and data driven. From leading national teams advancing equitable whole child health, to advising state governments on multimillion-dollar investments, to conducting research and sharing policy recommendations, I bring heart, strategy, and systems-thinking to every table I sit at.​Currently, I serve as Chief Science Officer at the Alliance for a Healthier Generation, where I lead cross-functional teams in scaling impact nationwide. I\'ve overseen multimillion-dollar grant contracts, built strategic alliances with organizations including the National Academies, and UnitedHealth Group, and launched new revenue-generating programs that blend innovation with mission alignment.​I\'ve also been honored to speak nationally (America\'s Healthiest Schools Leaders Summit, Healthy Kids Healthy Programs Summit, Physicians for a National Health Program), contribute thought leadership (Physician’s Weekly, Barron’s), and serve on the National Academies’ Forum for Children’s Well-Being and Roundtable on Obesity Solutions and as Alumni Board President for Columbia University\'s Mailman School of Public Health.
