Leads First Tech’s consumer compliance, privacy, and Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering (BSA/AML) programs. Responsible for the design, enhancement, implementation, and ongoing oversight of the credit union’s Compliance Management System (CMS) including mechanisms to ensure effective governance and oversight, policies and procedures, training, monitoring, and complaint management. Provides strategic compliance leadership and regulatory expertise across credit union teams. Partners with management to ensure compliance with existing requirements, and to identify and address new and emerging compliance risks related to changes in the regulatory environment, the economy, and internal changes to products, services, and activities. Elevates and provides insight into significant compliance issues and trends, and provides state of compliance reporting to management, the Supervisory Committee, and the Board of Directors. Nurtures the culture of compliance in support of First Tech’s vision to be America’s most admired credit union.
