ABOUT KYLE MAY
I started my career studying Chemical Engineering, now I rent ice cream machines on the side. Turns out, whether you’re optimizing a production line or delivering swirl perfection at a wedding, great systems and great people make all the difference.I’m a Continuous Improvement Manager who blends technical rigor with strategic thinking. With a ChemE degree from BYU and an MBA in progress at Utah State, I focus on improving safety, quality, and throughput by empowering teams and using data to solve real problems. At IPG, I lead cultural and operational transformation building systems that boost safety, quality, and throughput. My background as a Process Engineer (both at IPG and Northrop Grumman) taught me how to use data analytics, root cause discipline, and cross functional collaboration to drive measurable, lasting improvements. What motivates me most? People.Technology and processes matter, but I’m a firm believer that unlocking team potential is where the magic happens. I believe continuous improvement is a team sport, fueled by curiosity, empowered decision making, and a willingness to challenge assumptions.Outside of work, I channel my entrepreneurial streak into side hustles – including co-running ConeBros, an ice cream rental venture that brings joy in the form of soft serve and smiles. I’m also a business and investing nerd who loves learning from leaders across industries who exemplify operational excellence. If you’re passionate about continuous improvement, leadership, or you just appreciate good ice cream cone, I’d love to connect!
