ABOUT KYLE MARRIOTT
As an audio engineer with a background in information technology, networking and UX design, I most enjoy working at the intersection of subjective perception and objective data. Using your senses, and asking \'why\' or \'how\'?With experience in data analysis, audio system design and acoustic measurements, at both loudspeaker and room scales, I\'m innately familiar with tools such as EASERA, Smaart, SysTune, REW, CrossLite+, and RoomCapture. I enjoy creating investigative electroacoustic simulations and models using the Lumped Element, Finite Element and Boundary Element methods alongside Geometric Acoustic approaches such as ray-tracing, cone-tracing, and particle-tracing.The pandemic sent me back to school in 2021, where I proudly earned a Master\'s degree with specialisations in the binaural rendering of spatial acoustics for simulations of hearing loss, development of an algorithmic room reverb C++ VST plugin, MATLAB scripts for acoustic data processing, and a coupled LEM+BEM analysis of the directional and impulse response behaviour of low-frequency horn loudspeaker arrays.I believe firmly in genuinely listening, the scientific method, the sharing of information, and the empowerment of others through research. Be that in a lab, in the field, or behind a mixing console.
