About Kyle Love

Kyle has a passion for building the high tech industry in Utah Valley. He received a Computer Science degree and a MBA from Brigham Young University. In 1982 he founded NACT and built it into a multi-million dollar company. He harvested it in 1995. In 1997, he became an entrepreneur in residence for the Center for Entrepreneurship at Brigham Young University and served there on a volunteer basis for approximately three years.He is a cofounder of The Utah Valley Entrepreneurial Forum (UVEF) created in 1989 and served as its President in 1991 and again in He currently serves as a director of this organization. Mr. Love has served or is now serving on various boards including: Orem City Incubator Board, Alianza, Omniture, and Shopsite, Inc. and on advisory boards for various companies and organizations including: Utah Valley State College\'s Center for the Advancement of Leadership, Corda Technologies Inc. He recently served as the Chairman for UVSC’s Center for the Advancement of Leadership. In 1998, Mr. Love became a founding member of the Utah Angels. This is a group of entrepreneurs that have harvested their companies and are now investing in and helping incubate high tech companies. This group has invested in a number of companies including Myfamily.com, Omniture, Corda Technologies, Skydisc, Storebusters, Truevision, Alianza, etc. The Utah Angels have invested over in Utah companies. Mr. Love was selected by organization to serve as its Managing Partner for 2009.In 2002, Mr. Love joined Cogito Inc, and together with the founder, turned the company around, raised in a Series B round and brought in a new management team to commercialize the technology. In January of 2006, Mr. Love, joined Direct Controls Inc. as its Chief Executive Officer. He has been able to raise in bridge funding and is working with the founder to commercialize its technology and move the company forward.Specialties: Startup, strategic planning, sales, marketing, fianance, fund raising, operations, manufacturing, software development, personnel.
