I began my career at Nationwide as a contractor in Talent Acquisition as a Recruiting Coordinator. After exploring many options and learning about the industry thoroughly through Recruiting, I chose to become a Claims Adjuster in Nationwide\'s standard line in Non-injury Liability. After working for about a year and a half, I was promoted to a Bodily Injury Claims Specialist. I chose to move to the Underwriting department to further my knowledge in Insurance. I joined the Nationwide Personal Lines department as an Associate Underwriter and was quickly promoted to an Underwriter. I worked as an Underwriter for a few years, but was consistently working with many outside departments on various projects. My final position within Nationwide was a Sr. Underwriter in the Personal Lines department.In March 2021, I made a move to State Auto and began working in Agency Management. I utilized prior industry skills from Recruiting, Claims, and Underwriting to assist in reviewing Agency behavior to determine if there are any system gaps, behavioral trends, or fraudulent behavior that could lead to premium leakage. My largest project I worked on was a annual project regarding prior carrier verification. In addition to the various projects I was a part of, I also completed reviews for individual agencies to determine the profile of an agency, as well as if there were any training opportunities, or additional action needed to ensure profitibility and slow any premium leakage.Most recently (December 2022), I moved into the Small Commercial Underwriting department in a very similar role to my previous Personal Lines role. I was given the opportunity to bring my experience in Agency Management from Personal Lines to Small Commercial, and was able to assist in developing the process out on the Small Commercial side. During this time, I attained my Associates in General Insurance (Dec 2023) and Associates in Insurance Data Analytics (June 2024). I am always eager to collaborate with other Insurance professionals!
