About Kyle Hansen

I’m a Master of Professional Accountancy candidate at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln with hands-on experience in auditing, internal controls, and financial reporting through internships at both Lutz and Kiewit. My professional journey has given me exposure to a variety of industries, collaborative audit environments, and client-facing responsibilities that have strengthened my technical and communication skills.Outside of my accounting experience, I founded and operate Kyle Hansen Services LLC, where I’ve built a client base of 50+ homeowners and businesses offering window cleaning, lawn care, landscaping, pressure washing, and bookkeeping services. Running a small business taught me real-world lessons in leadership, operations, and the value of integrity in every client relationship. The blend of entrepreneurship and accounting has fueled my passion for helping organizations make financially sound and sustainable decisions.Currently, I’m serving as a Teaching Assistant for Marketing (MKT 257) while pursuing my MPA and preparing to return to Lutz for another busy season audit internship. I’m driven by curiosity, continuous learning, and a desire to merge analytical accounting skills with business strategy. I look forward to growing as a professional in public accounting while continuing to apply my entrepreneurial mindset to every opportunity that comes my way.
