About Kyle Forbes
Kyle Forbes is a graduate of the University of Maryland, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance, and Supply Chain Management from the Robert H. Smith School of Business. During his time at University of Maryland, Kyle was involved in a number of activities. Kyle was involved in the business school as the Freshman Representative of the Smith Rising Business Leaders Club, New Student Involvement Chair of the Smith Undergraduate Student Association, College Park Scholars Program Scholars\' Advisory Board member. Outside of the business school, Kyle also served as Vice President of Academic Affairs on the University of Maryland Inter-fraternity Council, and as the Vice President of Kappa Alpha Order. Finally, Kyle has been recognized by the V.W. Brown Insurance Scholarship for Excellence, John K. Bennett Scholarship, Order of Omega Honor Society and National Society of Collegiate Scholars. Kyle spent the first three years of his career within Morgan Stanley Operations Department’s Analyst Rotational program. The program allowed him to understand a number of back office operations functions within a global financial institution including OFAC screening, payments controls, and listed derivatives trading allocations. After completion of the Operations Analyst program, Kyle joined Morgan Stanley’s Global Financial Crimes Investigations team where he spent 2 1/2 years assisting with investigating OFAC sanction violations, communicating with agent banks through FinCEN’s 314(b) requests, analyzing transaction monitoring and negative news alerts, as well as writing Suspicious Activity Reports (SAR’s). Kyle is currently an Associate within KPMG’s Forensic Advisory practice with a focus on Financial Crimes and Analytics. Kyle obtained his Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) certification in January 2020, and is in the process of obtaining his Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) certification.
