ABOUT KYLE COTNER

With 20 years of experience in engineering, product development, and continuous improvement, I am a passionate and driven leader who strives to deliver innovative and high-quality solutions for my customers. As the Vice President of Global Engineering at SV TCL until February 2023, I directed all aspects of the engineering organization, including product design, technology development, and development of engineering tools and processes. I provided technical and business leadership, and I initiated engineering activities that supported corporate business objectives. I also have a unique background with experience working in three industries (automotive, medical, semiconductor) and two continents (Europe and North America), which gives me a diverse perspective and experience in the engineering field.Some of my work highlights at SV TCL include initiating development activity for a new production platform and accompanying product designs to reduce material cost 4x, and introducing a controlled design release process to vastly reduce design defects. I also led the development of MEMS spring technology for the probe card market, which grew to 45% of total US revenue in three years. I used my skills in product development, continuous improvement, and engineering to coordinate inter-department initiatives and activities that resulted in improved quality, lower cost, and reduced cycle time. I also built, developed, and managed engineering teams across two continents, and coordinated with other internal teams to drive process and capability improvement.
