About Kyle Aaron

I am an associate heat transfer engineer at Burns & McDonnell with more than 25 years of professional heat transfer engineering experience in designing, rating, troubleshooting and optimizing various heat exchangers and thermal process systems.Throughout my career, I’ve served in engineering and engineering leadership roles within startup, high-growth and publicly traded engineering organizations. Prior to joining Burns & McDonnell, I founded and served as president at Thermal Design Services, providing comprehensive engineering, analytical and testing services for heat exchangers, combustion equipment, and thermal processes.My background includes complete design and specification of shell & tube and air-cooled heat exchangers, electric heaters, plate type and other various compact heat exchanger types, fired heaters, thermal oxidizers, among other common heat transfer equipment for onshore facilities as well as offshore. I’m familiar with industry standards, common practices and the latest technology used to increase thermal efficiencies for optimization of size and cost. My industry experience includes refinery, petrochemical, chemical, offshore, pipeline facilities, NGL, refrigeration & gas processing. I’m also experienced with mechanical design, fabrication, NDE and methods of testing, inspection and metallurgical issues. I have a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Texas A&M University, and a registered professional engineer in Texas under the branches Chemical and Mechanical.
