I am responsible for developing content for all of the City’s social media platforms, including photography, short-form video creation, caption writing, and event coverage, while also creating and implementing strategies to grow engagement and following across accounts such as the beach and golf course pages. I link content to the City’s website, collaborate with partnered organizations to share and amplify messaging, and track and analyze performance to guide future strategies. In addition, I attend City meetings and special events to document for social media and maintain a strong understanding of City goals, initiatives, and staff. I also represent the City at in-person events with elected officials, capturing content and supporting public communications. Beyond social media, I compile information from departments and partners to prepare the City’s monthly newsletter for the design team and work collaboratively with staff to develop presentations and speeches for elected officials and the City Manager.
