About Kyla Williams
Who am I? I am Kyla Williams, a young woman from Saint Louis who believes she can do it all. I am a student in the College of Arts and Sciences and The Media School at Indiana University Bloomington, majoring in Media with a focus in Studio News and minoring in Atmospheric Science & Meteorology. My background includes tutoring and mentoring children, working in guest and event services for campus activities, and gaining early experience in broadcasting. Through my work with IU Event Services, I have developed strong communication, leadership, and hospitality skills that have deepened my interest in sports management and the world of live events.I am also drawn to opportunities within sports media, especially the WNBA and other organizations where I can merge my enthusiasm for sports with my storytelling and on-camera experience. I have always aimed to excel, and have made it a priority to remember that excellence is the standard. I am committed to becoming a trailblazer in anchoring, weather reporting and even broadcast and sports media, inspiring others in STEM and communications as a Black woman.My ultimate goal is to impact over impress, to educate, to entertain, and to inform the public, whether through weather broadcasting, sports coverage, or news media, while trusting God to guide my path forward
