ABOUT KYARA L.
I am a PhD student at the Dalla Lana School of Public Health at the University of Toronto. I obtained my Master\'s of Public Health (MPH) in Social and Behavioural Health Sciences from University of Toronto (2024) and Honours Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of British Columbia (2022). I have a strong background across various topics concerning health inequities. My research interests include women’s health and the impacts of gender-based violence (e.g, intimate partner violence and sexual violence) on health and well-being. I have research experience in quantitative, qualitative, and mixed-method methodologies, as well as expertise in critical social theories. My dissertation work will explore domestic sex trafficking in Canada. ORCiD:
