Casey Foundation as a civic site – a place where the Foundation has a long-term commitment to improving the futures of children and their families who lack access to opportunity and face structural and systemic barriers to reaching their full potential, goals, and dreams. Since 2001, we have been working with a wide range of partners and grantees south and southwest of downtown Atlanta, including the residents of Atlanta’s Neighborhood Planning Unit V and surrounding neighborhoods. The Atlanta Civic Site’s primary portfolios are education achievement, economic opportunity, and neighborhood transformation, and all of our work is conducted by applying an equity lens, especially a racial equity
