Prioritise personal and others’ safety, including visitors and contractors, by adhering to strict safety protocols and emergency procedures at all times.• Lead and motivate colleagues to deliver a consistently safe, courteous, and helpful service to our customers.• Ensure that all required tasks are carried out by the station team• Execute emergency and evacuation procedures as required, to ensure customer and colleague safety.• Ensure the safe and punctual dispatch of trains and maintain an up-to-date record of train performance using Quartz.• Provide induction of the station to new colleagues and agency workers• Completed the Station Incident Officer (SIO) training course• Keep the station team, including the management team, informed of any events during the shift by completing and sharing a detailed shift handover• Conduct regular safety compliance checks and report any faults to the relevant department• Maintain a strong focus on security and ensure security searches are conducted at the required frequency• Ensure assistance is provided to all customers with reduced mobility and other needs by regularly checking and updating the Passenger Assist app.• Log all lost property items using MissingX and ensure that they are securely transferred to the Lost Property Office on the designated days• Maintain high standards of cleanliness across the station by supervising the cleaning contractors and the station team• Keep customers and the station team informed with the latest service updates, especially during disruption, by using the tools available (e.g. Arrakis, Berth Maps).• Respond to customer queries and feedback and aim to resolve their issues wherever possible (e.g. by using Back on Track vouchers)
