ABOUT KYLE VANDERWOLF

I am a seasoned MBA Candidate with the University of Alberta expected to graduate in April of 2021. I am a Professional Engineer with extensive design and project management experience working in the consulting sector. I have had experience with road and highway design, municipal neighborhood developments, bridge inspections, culvert design, commercial building design including foundation, structural steel, masonry, and wood construction. I felt to best leverage my past experiences was to focus my MBA program on both project and strategic management in the public sector to better liaise, anticipate, and support our growing communities. I am passionate about my work with a commitment to continuous improvement and efficient performance. Some of the challenges I tackled during my MBA program are- Net Impact - Working with the Stollery Children\'s Hospital Foundation to develop a digital fundraising strategy to capitalize on the growing market and demographic donor preferences - MBA Lift Program - A volunteer program aiming to \"lift\" each other by connecting students to companies needing help during the COVID pandemic. I worked with a startup company that focused on a 2-sided marketplace structure with manufacturing and product development. It was my responsibility to deliver financial forecasting, market assessment, and strategic review - City Of Edmonton - A volunteer position working as a research analyst, the purpose of our report was to serve as a guide to formulate a mentorship program for the Women@theCity in the future and act as a tool to empower women in overcoming the structural and individual challenges at their workplace.
