ABOUT KUTAHYA CHERRY

Solicitor qualified in England and Wales specialising in commercial real estate law in the renewable energy and infrastructure sector.I am a partner at Foot Anstey and head up the property team that forms part of our EPIC offering (Energy, Projects, Infrastructure and Construction). I deliver legal advice and support to clients within the clean energy sector, predominantly those developing, constructing and running clean energy projects and infrastructure, or investing or funding such projects. I advise on major nationally significant infrastructure projects with particular expertise in site assembly of large scale co-located technology projects with multiple landowner landholdings.I advise on a multitude of technologies: solar (ground mount and roof-top), battery and storage, offshore energy infrastructure, onshore wind and grid infrastructure (transmission connected and distribution connected).I provide practical and commercial solutions to my client\'s business needs within the timeframes they require while maintaining a smile on my face throughout! My goal is always to be approachable so people feel they can ask me any question knowing they will get considered and appropriate response without being burdened with legal jargon.I provide strategic and commercially relevant advice on all land-related matters throughout the investment cycle of a project. I also frequently speak at industry events as well as having an interest in community-energy focussed development. A bit more about Foot Anstey and how we organise ourselves: We are set up along the same lines as many of our developer clients with a true focus on project delivery. This means that we have legal experts all in the same EPIC team that deliver advice for every stage of a project; from site assembly, through planning, grid, delivery of revenue stream, construction, operation, as well as finance at any stage of this process, investment in (equity) and divestment of projects.
