Actively involved with Immigrant and Refugee organizations across the State, sharing information on the upcoming Apple Health Expansion program and identifying ways to support local Community Based Organizations including but not limited to: International Rescue Committee, Northwest Health Law Advocates, Washington Immigrant Solidarity Network, Tri-Cities Immigrant Coalition, and more!Responsible for the implementation of Apple Health Expansion for CHPW including submitting required materials to the Health Care Authority, leading the CHPW internal Steering Committee to ensure all departments are prepared, and working on triaging internal issues. Engaging with the Health Care Authority Immigrant and Refugee Health workgroups on Language Access, Communications, Managed Care Organization operations, and others to ensure voices of the community and providers are reflected in decision-making processes. Actively utilizes health equity lens in designing immigrant and refugee health program and health insurance construction. Ensures that immigrant and refugee perspectives are included in decision-making processes.
