ABOUT KUSH BUBBAR
Simply stated, I am not your traditional academic. My career journey has led me on a path where I have had the privilege of developing products in several technology sectors including: semiconductors, biomedical engineering, telecommunication, electronic manufacturing, and renewable energy. Prior to my appointment at the University of New Brunswick, I held senior engineering roles at both SCIEX™ and BlackBerry™ where I was a key player in the development of award winning, state-of-the-art biomedical technologies and complex high-volume flexible manufacturing systems respectively.My core strengths stem from two complementary skills sets: 1) a strong fundamental comprehension of physics, mathematics, and technology, and 2) a willingness to listen, explore, and identify the needs of my research communities, collaborators, and partners.My diverse research interests can be collated under the universal theme of systems modelling and design. The methods I apply focus around the application of model-based design tools and techniques to represent the physics of complex multi-physics systems using a network-based graph theoretical framework with the intent to identify optimal design criteria. I have a strong propensity for exploring research problems in the field of sustainable energy, in particular marine renewable energy.I am always keen to explore new mutually beneficial industrial partnerships.
