Managing credit strategy for women’s Self Help Groups (‘SHG’)(Aug 2024 onwards) and building the Co-Lending portfolio at HDFC Bank Ltd (Mar 2022 onwards)• Maintaining portfolio quality under Board approved thresholds through close monitoring of delinquency and monthly sourcing quality, and actioning on critical items• Analysis of Microfinance industry through (i) tracking of listed peers’ quarterly results,(ii) monthly and quarterly Credit Information Bureau data in comparison to Bank’s portfolio, and other data led initiatives, as an early warning system for effective control actions at local and regional level• Visits across Indian states to the Bank’s Microfinance borrowers, to develop an understanding of the regional variances in the SHG business• Ensuring compliance to regulatory requirements and close coordination on regulatory audits• Publishing the Microfinance newsletter, a monthly dashboard with portfolio delinquency, sourcing trends and early alerts, to internal stakeholders across functions, and senior management• Grew Co-Lending Partnerships, a newly established business, to total disbursement of more than INR 100 Crores through live partnerships with six NBFIs• Front-ended due diligence of ~75 NBFIs across secured and unsecured retail products and geographies, of AUM INR 500 – INR Crores, leading to agreements with and onboarding of ten NBFIs• Led the due diligence and onboarding process including (i) screening of NBFI’s audited financials and portfolio data,(ii) branch and borrower visits to understand the NBFI’s target segment and hybrid credit strategy agreement (iv) engagement with senior management and (v) commercial negotiation• Continuous partner-wise monitoring of portfolio performance including close coordination with NBFI partner`s credit risk and collections function, and timely control measures• Networking with industry peers for growth, best practices and an understanding of regulatory guidance
