ABOUT KUSH PATEL
I’m a Data Science graduate student at Illinois Institute of Technology with a strong ability to translate theoretical concepts in machine learning, statistics, and data engineering into practical, real-world applications. My work focuses on designing solutions that are not only technically sound, but also interpretable, scalable, and impactful. I’ve consistently applied statistical learning theory, optimization techniques, and probability models to solve real problems across domains such as healthcare analytics, natural language processing, and predictive modeling. This includes building end-to-end pipelines—starting from data acquisition and feature engineering, through model development and evaluation, to visualization and deployment-ready insights.In addition to industry experience in machine learning and data analytics, I actively reinforce my foundations by mentoring students in calculus, linear algebra, and probability, which strengthens my ability to reason from first principles and explain complex ideas clearly.I’m currently strengthening my cloud fundamentals and working toward the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner (Foundational) certification to better support production-ready, cloud-based ML solutions.I’m motivated by roles where theory meets practice—using strong analytical foundations to build systems that drive real decision-making and measurable outcomes.
