I\'ve sold over $100M in products in the online advertising space. My path has not always been a singular straight line.I started as an electrical engineer in college which then went on to work for Microsoft advertising in 2007, after ~ 3.5 years I realized a technical ops role in a large company wasn\'t for me and I decided I really wanted to master sales.I joined Zillow, and went head first into inside sales when they were barely at 200 employees. I had no experience but I had a deep desire to master cold-calling and sales. I quickly ramped up and consistently smashed quotas and soon became a key travel sales partner.I traveled 2/3 of the year to real estate shows and broker meetings selling on the road and mastering outside sales. Then I was asked to lead the start of a new east coast NYC office.By then I had hit my earning ceiling (3 years in) and started seeing my trajectory flatten. I had one the highest awards, achieved the biggest sales #s in company history and felt it was time to move on. It was at that point in 2014 that I was interested in Facebook advertising.I put in my 30 day notice and started Crushvertise. From there it was a long, bounce to explore multiple avenues of affiliate marketing. Over the years the business stalled at $6M/year and then in 2020 we cracked $10M and then $15M.We came back to reality and I attempted to get the business out of a serious slump before finally realizing after 15 months of ups and downs that it needed a serious course correction.At that point we shifted into becoming an advertising, selling only our own products. Now we architect, market, and deliver our own gummy supplement products directly via Shopify and ecommerce channels.The team is roughly a dozen and we are finding exceptional traction. Excited for the bright future that is well within our control and moving in the direction. The future looks bright.
