ABOUT KURTIS WOLFF

Kurtis Wolff is currently a Director serving Boards principally in the healthcare industry, including services to indigent children. Kurtis has over 20 years of extensive boardroom experience focused on governance, risk management and financial reporting. Kurtis served as Managing Partner of Assurance at CohnReznick and Risk Management Practice Leader for the Pacific Southwest and Lead Client Service Partner for Deloitte. In these roles he has guided organizations, working effectively and pragmatically within the C-suite. Having served “well known seasoned issuers” and smaller public companies he possesses the credentials to serve as a board audit committee financial expert. Kurtis’s fraud, risk and litigation management leadership, through the turnaround of WorldCom and the management of CohnReznick, has proven invaluable in addressing such matters in the boardroom. During his career thus far, Kurtis has consulted on and directly managed matters involving bankruptcy, arbitration, SEC whistleblowers, grand jury indictments, fraud/special investigations, litigation, and advancing positions with the SEC/PCAOB. Board governance is paramount to Kurtis and he complements his Board roles and remains current on issues (cyber security, culture, disruption) through education and affiliation with NACD, AICPA, Board Source and Deloitte’s Center for Board Effectiveness.CohnReznick (formerly Reznick Group) firm revenue grew from $140 million in 2004 to over $500 million in 2015 while Kurtis served as Managing Partner of Assurance. At Deloitte, Kurtis’s Audit and Enterprise Risk Management Partner roles involved services to several Fortune 500 companies (e.g, PG & E, Foundation Health Systems, Kaiser Permanente, Unocal, Sempra Energy, MGM Mirage). Those risk management efforts resulted in significantly improving the awareness of both risks and opportunities for senior management and the Board. For nearly two years Kurtis worked alongside the new management team at WorldCom to address billions in fraud and financial mismanagement. His industry experience is varied with services to Energy (Oil and Gas – Upstream), Utilities (IOU’s and Alternative Energy), Manufacturing, Consumer Business & Distribution, Hospitality, Real Estate Construction & Development, Specialty Construction, Healthcare, and Professional Services. He maintains his high energy persona through hiking, tennis, running, and his favorite pastime, boating, especially sailing 16 foot beach catamarans and 50 foot monohulls and catamarans in the Caribbean.
