Kurt Parker is an expert in strategy, risk management, global security, and crisis management, with experience spanning over 40 countries. He has managed business continuity and resilience for U.S. government operations exceeding $120M and the International Research & Exchanges Board’s (IREX) global operations portfolio of $150M. Collaborating with cross-enterprise teams and intelligence specialists, he identifies risks early, delivers enterprise-level solutions, and provides strategic analysis to senior leaders, including C-Suite executives, National Security Council members, U.S. ambassadors, CIA chiefs of station, and 4-star generals.Kurt’s career encompasses leadership roles across government and non-profit sectors. He served as a law enforcement officer in a major U.S. metropolitan area, a U.S. Army Special Forces soldier, and a Special Agent with the U.S. Department of State, later transitioning to non-government work. At State, he led a 115 person security team during the opening of the U.S. Embassy in Mogadishu, Somalia—managing operations and construction under pressure while establishing an intelligence fusion cell with partners and briefing top officials on actionable insights. At IREX, he directed a globally diverse team, implementing security initiatives for media literacy, education, and civil society projects worldwide. These initiatives brought successful crisis response, resiliency, and continuity to multiple crisis zones to include Ukraine and South Sudan. Kurt is currently a member of ASIS and RIMS. He has been accepted to sit the CPP and CRMP certification exams. He is also a current MBA student who wants to further broaden his cross-enterprise contributions.
