He has led large, multidisciplinary teams; managed multi million dollar budgets and capital assets; and modernized security programs to improve scalability, accountability, and operational effectiveness. His approach consistently positions security as a business enabler rather than a constraint.Currently, Kurt serves as Senior Director of Executive Security at the United States Chamber of Commerce, leading executive protection and security risk initiatives for the organization’s President & CEO and senior leadership. In this role, he integrates security planning into executive travel, public engagements, and major events, partnering closely with Legal, HR, Communications, Facilities, and external stakeholders to support business continuity and reputation management.Previously, Kurt spent more than two decades with the United States Secret Service in senior leadership roles across domestic and international assignments. As an Assistant Special Agent in Charge in the Service’s largest operational division, he oversaw more than 350 personnel across ten operational units, directed a $2.6M operating budget, and managed over $10M in capital assets. He led elite executive protection teams operating under sustained high risk conditions and improved financial and operational governance.Kurt also completed a senior executive developmental assignment with the Department of Homeland Security’s Office of Intelligence and Analysis, where he led a mission center delivering integrated threat intelligence to senior decision makers.Kurt holds a Bachelor of Arts from The Citadel and completed the Key Executive Leadership Program at American University.
