About Kuntal de
I\'m a research scientist and biochemist with extensive experience in oncology, microbiology, biotechnology, and molecular research. I\'ve worked in clinical settings using small molecule inhibitors and have been involved in the development of novel therapeutic targets. I\'ve discovered a domain in oncogenic protein that can be targeted to block the cancer pathway and identified novel pathway to stop the viral entry and replication of SARS CoV-2. I approach goals and tasks with conscientiousness, exacting detail, and have made significant contributions. Email: k••••••••@gmail.com Contact:51••••••76 Key Achievements: •Identified two small molecule inhibitors, proTAME and apcin, that show promising results against radioresistant and therapeutic resistant brain cancer GBM stem cells. These findings have helped the lab to publish 2 research articles and secure an grant from the American Cancer Society. •New COVID-19 pathway discovered to stop viral entry and replication and novel protein domain found in oncogenic protein can be targeted to block cancer pathway. •Created a new platform for Bioscience division, including research on human cell lines & expression systems, resulting in 2 patents & 4 publications that received media attention. • Helped in securing $9M SEED funding through DOE review from 20••••26. • Supervised 14 junior researchers and 60 undergrads in teaching labs for 4 years at a top-ranked school.
