About Kunj Vyas
I am a pharmacy graduate and currently pursuing PhD in Pharmaceutical Science. My expertise lies in PK/PD Modelling and Simulation as well as bioanalysis (DMPK). I am proficient in various modelling software such as Phoenix WinNolin, SimCyp, Monolix, MATLAB, and R Programming. Also, I have hands-on experience in LC-MS/MS, RT qPCR, ELISA, and conducting independent in vitro and in vivo studies using rabbit and mice models.I pride myself on being highly detail-oriented and having exceptional teamwork and communication skills. At LIU, I have been involved in four major research projects, including developing PBPK models for antibacterials in dialysis patients and immune checkpoint inhibitors in pregnant women. In the past, I played a key role in a FDA project that centered on the PK analysis of an in vivo microdialysis study conducted on rabbits. My internship at Takeda Pharmaceuticals revolves around my active participation in evaluating pharmacokinetics of antibody oligonucleotide conjugate research.
Experience
Doctoral Fellow
Sep 2024 — Present · Brooklyn, NY, US
Extension from previous experience:• Project 4:o Developing population pharmacokinetic model for patients with CVVHDF.o Developed and validated PBPK models for antibacterial drugs in patients with CKD, incorporating the impact of renal impairment on transporters, CYP enzymes, and ADME.o Developed an PK Sim based hemodialysis module to assess renal clearance and inform dosing adjustments for CKD patients, including those undergoing dialysis.o Utilized LC/MS/MS for clinical sample analysis and model validation against clinical trial data.• Project 3:o Developed and validated an LC-MS/MS method for the simultaneous quantification of penicillin and ceftriaxone.o Developed a population PopPK-PD model using MATLAB to predict in-silico pharmacodynamic effects from in-vitro data.o Comparing static time-kill models, in-silico dynamic models, and in-vitro dynamic models to identify optimal antibiotic activity.
