R&D in early discovery. Support lead selection and clinical trails. • Develop assays for diabetes research using isolated human pancreatic islets and clonal pancreatic cells. Focused directions include small molecules, Menin inhibitor, beta cell proliferation, and GLP-1 receptor signaling. Specialized in confocal microscopist.• Design & conduct in vitro, cellular, & ex vivo assays to support small molecules MOA studies, lead validation and optimization for diabetes, obesity, immunology, & oncology projects. • Develop in-house ex vivo human islet models and in vitro systems and collaborate with Medicinal chemistry team to optimize GLP-1r agonist leads in the type II diabetes/obesity project.• Study cytokine stimulated MHC-I expression to validate leads in the type I diabetes autoimmune disease project.• MOA studies using human myoblast differentiated myotubes to validate small molecules to promote myogenesis and muscle hypertrophy. • Jak-Stat signaling MOA studies using PBMC, THP1, and NK92 cells.• Coordinate projects with CROs to conduct kinome studies, peptide mapping, and protein-adduct formation. Responsible for assay design, sample preparation and QC using HPLC and mass spec, shipment coordination, and data analysis/interpretation.• Excellent documentation of protocols and notes. Wrote study reports for patent and IND applications.
