As a Project Engineer – IT at the District Supply Office under the Food and Consumer Protection Department, Government of Bihar, I was responsible for managing and implementing technology solutions to enhance the efficiency and transparency of the Public Distribution System (PDS). My role involved overseeing the digitization of ration cardholder data, ensuring integration with Aadhaar, and maintaining MIS systems for inventory and beneficiary tracking.I coordinated with state-level NIC teams and local officials to deploy IT infrastructure, manage biometric authentication systems at fair price shops, and troubleshoot software and network issues. I also provided technical training to staff and ensured compliance with government data security policies. My efforts contributed to minimizing leakages, improving service delivery to beneficiaries, and strengthening the overall digital governance framework within the department.
