The intern will get the exposure to the EHV/UHV Transmission System. Intern will get the opportunity to learn about operation, maintenance and testing activities of Extra High Voltage (EHV & UHV) substation and transmission lines. The practical learning involves regular operation, inspection, testing and maintenance of transmission lines and substation equipment such as transformers, reactors, circuit breakers, current transformers, potential transformers, isolators, busbars, and surge arresters etc. Interns will also learn about substation auxiliaries like battery, battery charges, ACLT system, fire protection system, visual monitoring system etc. They will also get learning opportunity about condition monitoring activities of EHV/UHV transmission lines such as visual inspections for physical damage, corrosion, or vegetation interference etc. Further, interns will also associate themselves and learn testing of protection and control systems. Additionally, during the tenure they will learn about safety protocols, outage management, and emergency response procedures.
