Kunal is a partner in the Private Client group. Kunal acts for an array of UK and international clients across the private client spectrum including high net worth individuals, entrepreneurs, financial institutions, trustees, fund managers and funds. Kunal’s main strength lies in the breadth of his expertise, particularly with a tax focus, including advising: • individuals on all aspects of personal taxation including wealth and estate planning, investment structuring, reliefs, tax residence (including pre-immigration and emigration planning) and planning for non-UK domiciled clients; • international banks, trustees and investors on tax aspects of banking and investment platforms, including on structured products, situs, source and segregation issues; • entrepreneurs on matters relating to tax structuring of their business interests, including establishment, growth and exit; • fund managers and family offices on tax matters including fund structuring, carried interest and tax residence; • trustees, settlors and beneficiaries on matters relating to onshore and offshore trusts, including restructurings to reflect changing circumstances; • on the establishment of asset holding structures, including for real estate, business and investment assets; and • senior management and their employers on remuneration and incentive planning.
